In addition to starting the Behind the Charge series, we also began hosting Facebook live interviews on Fridays at 3pm CST, we’re calling it CCTV. This month we talked to Chelsea Collier from Impact Hub Austin and learned more about her journey along with her recent visit to China as part of a fellowship program. Watch the full video here.

We have scheduled many exciting guests for weeks to come so be sure to tune in at 3pm every Friday to hear amazing things from amazing people. In case you miss an episode, don’t worry! Each one will be posted on Facebook and on our YouTube channel so you can watch anytime.

During our recent trip to New York City, we got a chance to visit with Pencils of Promise and learn more about their mission and projects. We filmed what we learned to pass on to you. Check out the first installment of their Charity Chats episode here. They told us so much good information that we had to split the episode into two and keep you in anticipation for the rest. Stay tuned for part 2, being released on December 8th.

Volunteering: Operation Turkey

We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, the Charity Charge team certainly did. As part of our ongoing efforts to volunteer in the community every month, we took the holiday as an opportunity to help those less fortunate. Our Chief of Staff, Alexandra Craig, woke up bright and early on Thanksgiving morning to volunteer at Operation Turkey deliver Thanksgiving meals, water, and clothing to 3,000 individuals in the Northeast Austin area. In total Operation Turkey delivered 40,000 meals in 5 different cities on Thanksgiving morning. It was great to be able to help out in our local community on such a festive day. If you would like to join in our monthly volunteer activities please email us at volunteer@charitycharge.com.
