We had a busy month in September, it was great and very productive, we wanted to give you an update on our activities. Check it out!

KaBOOM! Volunteer Day

The Charity Charge team went out to Hutto, TX to help build a playground with KaBOOM!. They are an outstanding nonprofit that is dedicated to bringing balanced, active play into the daily lives of all kids, particularly those growing up in poverty in America. KaBOOM! has built, opened or improved over 16,300 playgrounds across the nation. We are very happy that we got a chance to help out, and hope the kids of Hutto have a blast on their brand new playground.

Volunteering is something that we really enjoy here at Charity Charge and is something that we try to do as often as possible. We’d love for you to join us, so be sure to email us at volunteer@charitycharge.com if you want to be a part of our next volunteer trip.

Charity Chats

We have new Charity Chats coming out soon, so stay tuned to social media for the latest episodes! For those of you that are not familiar with Charity Chats, they are short videos that showcase different nonprofits and the remarkable work they do. We create this series so that you can learn more about various organizations, along with their work and missions. We can’t wait to upload the next two episodes, featuring 3 Day Startup and Kids In a New Groove. While you wait on those, be sure to check out our YouTube Channel for all of our previous episodes.

Charity Charge joined Best Friends Animal Society to raise funds to save the lives of homeless pets around the country in the Strut Your Mutt walk in Austin, TX. Not only did we get to hang out with many adorable furry friends, the event helped raise $150,000! Check out a short video about the walk here. Best Friend’s website organizes these walks in many different cities in the U.S., so check it out to see when they are coming to your city. Nice people, adorable pets, clear skies, and a good cause. What more could you ask for?

Charity Charge @ UT

Our founder, Stephen Garten, spoke with a group of students at the University of Texas at Austin about his journey as an entrepreneur and the importance of giving back. It’s great having such an amazing university full of eager students right in our backyard, we really enjoy doing these talks a few times a semester.
